A triple
Knot by Emma Campion
A Triple Knot is set in the 1300s England and follows the
life of Joan of Kent. The book starts out when Joan is a child and follows all
throughout her life. When Joan is just a child she experiences the loss of her
father and knows who is responsible for it. She must live through the nightmares
and try to overcome the heartbreak. In the midst of a
difficult time in her life, Joan makes a unlikely friend in a knight. She soon
promises herself to him knowing that the king has arranged her marriage to
another man. Joan must overcome all odds in order to come out victorious. When
I first received this book I was excited to start it because I love anything
historical. But I was soon disappointed, I found myself getting bored as I was
reading. There were definitely some slow parts to this book. I was almost
tempted to skip parts that were uneventful. But I did my best to push through
them. In the end I wanted so much to like
this book, but I couldn’t. It’s a slow read and I just wanted to action to
start up. I also found myself sometimes confused by all the characters in the
book. There was way too many to keep track of. I could not finish this book for
the fact it did not hold my attention or completely suck me into the story. Overall
I rate this book 2 out of 5 stars.
I received this book for free from Blogging for Books for this review.
